Chapter 15 Put it to Work


There are many things that Angelica could have done differently to ensure a smooth and uneventful travel for Ms. Perez.

Angelica should have started out by making a list of things that she needed to accomplish before Ms. Perez left for her trip. This would include setting up the rental car arrangements as well as very through instructions on the time and place of the rental car agency. Angelica should have also printed out direction to the hotels as well as other destinations on Ms. Perez’s trip. She should have also typed up and printed out a time schedule of Ms. Perez’s meetings so that there was no confusion.

Angelicas job was not done as soon as Ms. Perez left for this trip. While she was out Angelica should have redistributed work if possible or organize the work on her desk so she doesn’t come back to work with such a mess. It is also important that Angelica forwards calls so that no questions or concerns go unanswered for such a long period of time.
